Vermont's Unmatched Recreation

Cherish the Water

Spend a tranquil day fly fishing on some of the most pristine streams anywhere, or ice fishing on our vast lakes.

For the paddlers, our rivers, streams, lakes and ponds will be calling you to launch your boat, kayak or paddleboard from sunrise to sunset. You also have a good chance of hearing the unique song of our beautiful loons that are more commonly spotted lately, thanks to a growth in their population.

How about tubing down a lazy river for a relaxing afternoon of meandering through the valleys with an occasional dip in a swimming hole! Swimming holes are everywhere and they’re just like you’ve always dreamed about, with rope swings, deep quarries and spectacular gorges.

Explore the Mountains

Hike the peaks, pedal the mountain bike trails or stroll the valleys enjoying the wildlife and fauna in forests brimming with just about everything!

Whether exploring on two feet or two wheels, our well-marked and maintained hiking and biking trails have so much to explore. Trail maps and GPS devices provide a sense of security that encourage even the newest beginners to get out and hit the trails. Trails range from beginner level, intermediate and expert mountain hiking and rock climbing adventures.

Even when exploring by car, our scenic highways, byways, and dirt roads provide some incredible vistas that’ll take your breath away!

Conquer the Snow

Killington offers world-class skiing and snowboarding for all levels from beginner to World Cup quality racing events.

The Beast of the East boasts a peak elevation of 4,241 feet with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains of several states.
